Latest NewsApril 2008ST Electronics Sets Up Wholly-Owned Subsidiary, Singapore, 22 April 2008 — Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics) today announced the incorporation of iDirect Asia Pte. Ltd. (iDirect Asia) as a wholly-owned subsidiary. iDirect Asia is being held through ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems) Pte. Ltd (STEE-SatComS). ST Electronics is the electronics arm of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering). The set up of iDirect Asia is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year. iDirect Asia is established as a result of the Group’s ongoing effort to integrate the satellite communication business and operations of iDirect Inc (iDirect), headquartered in the US, with that of ST Electronics. iDirect Asia, located in Singapore, will leverage on ST Electronics' extensive customer network in Asia and its ready pool of engineering resources to serve its customers better. In addition to sales and marketing of iDirect products, iDirect Asia will operate a Technical Assistance Centre to provide responsive engineering support and conduct technical training to iDirect users in the region.
