Latest NewsApril 2008Reduction In Shareholding In Polarsat Holdings Singapore, 11 April 2008 — Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics) today announced that its shareholding interest in associated company, Polarsat Holdings Inc (Polarsat), has been reduced from 26.67% to 20.20%. The investment in Polarsat is held through its wholly-owned subsidiary, ST Electronics (Satcom & Sensor Systems) Pte Ltd (STEE-SatComS). ST Electronics is the electronics arm of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (ST Engineering). The dilution in shareholding is due to the injection of new funds by three investors in Polarsat as a result of its capital raising effort with the agreement of STEE-SatComS. The dilution in shareholding in PolarSat is not expected to have any material impact on the consolidated net tangible assets per share and earnings per share of ST Engineering for the current financial year. The new capital to be raised is intended for research and development, and market development of Polarsat’s next generation of VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminals) products.
