USA (RICHARDSON, TEXAS), 2 April 2005 — Intelect Technologies introduces to the US the ST2800 Quick Deployable Emergency Integrated Communications System (EICS). Using VolP technology, EICS places disparate communications systems on a common IP network for integration. EICS is a product of Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited, developed by its subsidiary, CET Technologies (CET).
One of the key elements of the EICS is CET’s ST2800 Radio Gateway that facilitates the realisation of Radio over IP (RolP). It serves as the gateway for various radio types (VHF, UNF, HF) to convert audio and signaling to IP packets that allow the radio resources to be made available on the IP network.
Integrated Communications
EICS has a network-based architecture that is capable of supporting integrated
voice communications among the following devices:
Some of the key features of the EICS include,
The Integrated Dispatch Console (IDC) is an off-the-shelf laptop that is loaded with the application software that transforms it into an integrated communication services terminal.
System Components
The EICS is a self contained unit housed in a ruggedized portable casing or
installed in 19inch rack on mobile vehicle platform with the following system
components*:
*System components can differ from the above list and configured to individual project needs.
ST2800 EICS is currently being rolled out for the Mobile Command Vehicle applications to several customers in mission critical operations.
