SES Systems Marks Inaugural Participation in FESA 2005 with
State-of-the-Art Rescue & Protect Solutions

Singapore, 7 February 2005 — SES Systems Pte Ltd (SES), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited (ST Electronics), marks its inaugural participation in Fire & Emergency Services Asia 2005 (FESA 2005) with a wide array of world-class computerised, Rescue & Protect solutions for homeland security customers. FESA 2005 will be held in Singapore from 22 to 24 February 2005.

SES understands the importance of immediate and effective decision making for Rescue and Protect operations in today’s environment and has developed a suite of solutions. These include the Fire-Service Location & Management Emergency System (FLAMES), Future Responder System (FRS), iShield and National Emergency Exercise Trainer (NEXT).

Fire-Service Location & Management Emergency System (FLAMES)
FLAMES is a command and control (C2) system that enables Command and Control Centres to effectively monitor, manage and recommend the use of resources based on the nature of the incident. FLAMES enables fire services and other rescue agencies to manage incidents quickly and with greater efficiency.

Future Responder System (FRS)
FRS is a wearable computer system that captures all relevant data digitally and sends it back to the Control Centre. As FRS can be brought to the fire-scene, it complements FLAMES and both solutions work to enable quick and effective decision-making.

iShield
In the event of a CBRE incident, iShield provides an integrated command and control system that provides advanced capabilities for protecting key infrastructure and people.

National Emergency Exercise Trainer (NEXT)
Management would also want to implement NEXT. NEXT is a constructive simulation system designed to train a multi-disciplinary team, which may be assembled quickly to manage a crisis situation. It enables effective and realistic training/simulation exercises.
At home, SES’s expertise in Command and Control (C2) solutions is prevalent in both defence and commercial settings. SES C2 solutions perform a broad spectrum of functions including situation picture and resource tracking, resource dispatch, report generation, web-based query, integrated flight information and many more. SES C2 solutions offer operational benefits such as a single point of contact, and allowing close monitoring of service standards which facilitate faster response time. Incorporated with superior features, SES offers solutions that improve the efficiency and productivity of command and control operations whether on land, sea or air.
